The research lab aims to become an independent lab, differentiating from the current landscape of incubators, focusing on a research driven innovation approach.
The lab will focus its efforts on problem statements from the industry which are researched and based on the findings an MVP and subsequent incubation process will commence. The lab will initially have a GCC focus, with cohorts across UAE, Saudi, Bahrain over the course of a typical year.
With the current pandemic, we aim to launch with virtual collaboration and sprints to support our partners on remediating their pain points. Forte Markets will work alongside leading law firms, academic institutions, law societies, tech firms and consultancies to collaborate on projects.
To ensure a complete offering the lab will comprise an incubation only option, as and when start-ups apply for entry. The lab will also look at start-ups from their international network i.e. UK legal lab graduate start-ups, using the GCC lab as a starting point for feasibility research on the potential need of their offering in the region.
